APPLYING FOR FAFSA
Step 1: Create a FSA ID
|
Step 2: Start FAFSA
What is "FAFSA?"
FAFSA stands for "Free application for federal student aid." The FAFSA is evaluated by an office of the Department of Education called Federal Student Aid. Students applying for FAFSA will be awarded money based upon their estimated family contribution (EFC). An EFC is calculated based upon student demographics, college selection, parent demographics, parent financials, and student financials. For special circumstances, there is a paper FAFSA that can be printed out and completed; however, we do not suggest you file on paper because it takes several weeks to process and it is harder to complete.
