Scholarships & Grants

Below is a list of local and state scholarships and grants. The list is updated regularly as new scholarships are announced and renewed.

Highlighted Scholarship of the Week! (October 16-27, 2025)


Chick-fil-A Community Scholar 
​(Deadline: October 28, 2025 on or before 3pm)
Eligibility:
  • Be 18 years of age by July 15, 2026
  • Be a current:
    • High school senior OR student in your final year of upper or higher secondary school
    • Planning to enroll in full-time undergraduate study for the 2026-2027 academic year at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university OR vocational-technical school OR CEGEP Institution 
    • Be involved in community service, extracurricular activities and/or a leadership role in the 12 months prior to the application deadline
    • Have a minimum cumulative GPA point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Be willing to participate in Chick-fil-A's Scholars Program 
Awards 
The student(s) selected will be granted UP TO a $25,000 award. Up to 13 awards will be granted. 
Required Documents:
  • Current complete transcripts of grades (official or unofficial). 
  • Copy of the first two pages of your parents' (OR your own if not claimed as a dependent) IRS 1040 income tax form
  • At least one online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf (Due no later than November 11, 2025)​

Hagan Scholarship (Click on the Fall Scholarship Application link, then create a username and password to access the application)
(Deadline: December 1, 2025)
​Eligibility:
  • Must attend a high school located in the U.S. 
  • Students can apply regardless of nationality or citizenship
  • Must have achieved a 3.5 cumulative GPA
  • Must enroll in a four year college or university the fall semester following high school graduation 
  • Must maintain a four year or less graduation schedule 
  • If awarded a scholarship, must work 240 hours from January 1, 2026 - September 1, 2026. 
  • Parents' 2024 Adjusted Gross Household Income must not have exceeded $100,000. 
  • FAFSA information is not required to apply, however, if you become a finalists, you must provide FAFSA information (i.e., complete the application). 
  • Must apply for Federal and State Grants if eligible (You can do this by completing the FAFSA application). 
Awards:
Students selected will receive UP TO $7,500 each semester for up to 8 consecutive semesters

​State Grants
These are grants the state of Michigan offers to eligible students going to a Michigan college. You MUST fill out the FAFSA to get the grant!!

Michigan Achievement Scholarship (Community College Guarantee)
- For all Michigan high school graduates! Must enroll within 15 months of graduation.

Michigan Achievement Scholarship
- Have a Student Aid Index (SAI) of $30,000 or less and go to a Michigan college.

Tuition Incentive Program (TIP)
​
- Been on Medicaid 24 months out of a 36 month period sometime between ages nine through high school.

Police Officers and Fire Fighter's Tuition Grant
​
- Be the natural or adopted child of a police officer or fire fighter killed in the line of duty.

Fostering Future Scholarships
​
- Have been in Michigan foster care due to abuse/neglect on or after their 13th birthday.
​
Children of Veterans Grant 
- Be the natural or adopted child of qualifying Michigan veteran (visit site for who qualifies).​​
